“Whether I’m traveling alone or with my family, Airbnb is my home away from home. Living anywhere affords me the opportunity to really feel like I belong versus only being at a destination for a limited time.”
THE SENIOR NOMADS
Debbie and Michael Campbell
“For the past eight years we have called 270 Airbnbs in 85 countries home—and the one thing that remains constant no matter where we travel, is the hospitality of the Hosts who welcome us into their homes.”
DIGITAL NOMAD

“Because of Airbnb, I have the ability to call anywhere my home. For anyone thinking of taking the nomadic leap, you’ll never know if the lifestyle is right for you if you don’t try!”

Lines between traveling, living and working are blurring

According to the Airbnb Report on Travel & Living, the share of stays 28 days or longer on Airbnb increased 10 percent in nights booked when comparing 2019 to Q1 2021. 11 percent of our long-term stay bookers in 2021 reported living a nomadic lifestyle, with 74 percent of consumers we surveyed across five countries expressing interest in living someplace other than where their employer is based after the pandemic is over.

We think this trend is here to stay and we’re looking forward to working with our community to help shape the future of flexible living on Airbnb.
