Once booked, you'll be able to select to learn 3 dishes from a set range of items - like vegetable-sabzis, lentil daals/beans, Indian breads/rice, fresh chutneys, raita, etc., so much to choose from! With the menu decided, I'll go ahead and prep the ingredients for your convenience.
We'll kick off with the history of Indian cuisine & its evolution. You'll have fun discovering the different kinds of spices, beans & lentils that flavor-up Indian Vegetarian meals. Next, you'll get hands-on experience preparing the main course - with spices, learning about aromas, tastes & textures of ingredients, & various cooking techniques. You'll learn some simple tricks while creating something delicious to enjoy and be proud of! When the food is ready, you'll be shown how to enjoy it the authentic Indian way, eating together with my family & sharing anecdotes. We'll wrap up with the customary cup of steaming hot Masala Chai & conversations around Indian culture, lifestyle & philosophy. Takeaways include notes, instructions & leftovers from our session; But your biggest takeaway will be that Indian vegetarian food is truly delicious & not that hard to prepare after all!
