Chef Patty will regale you with her personal stories, growing up in a traditional Chinese and Taiwanese family, opening her first famiily restaurant, and how the traditions were passed down from her mother and grandmother.
Next, we'll explore Taiwan, through its street food culture, sampling a series of popular street food tapas.
The skillset section starts out with basic rolling of the skins, or wrappers.
Three rounds of dumplings will go over 5-6 shapes, and 3 distinct stuffings: pork and ginger, pork soup dumplings, and vegan. Each round has a break for stuffing the students, too!
The competition is fierce, and there will be awards and trivia prizes throughout the event. If you happen to be the first to mention a "trigger word" in the story section, you will win a coveted "Make Way for Dumplings" tee shirt!
Finally, the closing ceremony, where we encourage students to take home left-overs (if there are any!)
