Our Great Smoky Mountains adventure kicks off with a moonshine tasting and a "history of hooch" lesson at Elevated Mountain Distilling Co. in Maggie Valley. Then, you'll head into Cataloochee Valley to see the once-extinct elk that were reintroduced to the area in 2001. As we drive through the valley, you'll hear of the community that lived in the area more than a century ago. To cap off the evening, you'll have dinner at Boojum Brewery in charming downtown Waynesville before heading back to the historic (circa 1902) B&B for the night. The next day, a trained wilderness guide will lead you on a moderate hike in search of waterfalls in Haywood County. Our guide will tell you the history of the Cherokee Indians that once roamed the area. You’ll visit three waterfalls and have a picnic lunch at one of them. Then, we'll head back to Waynesville where you have a free afternoon to relax at the B&B, meander through the charming shops on Main Street, or do whatever you choose. For dinner, enjoy a fine dining experience a one of Waynesville's acclaimed farm-to-table restaurants, Frogs Leap Public House or Chef's Table. After dinner, stroll through downtown on our historic ghost tour.
