Curious about NYC architecture and how the Big Apple is shaped? Looking for a fun, alternative daytime activity to do during your visit? Using the city as our canvas, you will learn about urban design through the lens of unique, and some lesser-known curated sites in town! Each stop will explore a theme of the way NYC was and continues to be shaped through the field of urban planning and (really cool) architecture. Find out why and how each neighborhood is zoned the way it is, and learn about the unique processes it takes to build in New York City. You'll learn about the history and details of spaces that are overlooked in everyday life, and how buildings and public spaces inform each other throughout the 20th century until today. This isn't your average sightseeing tour! You'll be receiving the "locals-only treatment" that won't disappoint. Tours start in Lower East Side and end in Tribeca. (no subway/more indoors) Each stop will be around 15-20 min each for about 2.5 hours total.
