In this experience, you will be able to make beautiful Wagashi - traditional Japanese confectionery and taste them together with matcha green tea in my cozy dining room.
First, you will learn how to make nerikiri (dough) from scratch. Then tint the dough and make two types of seasonal confectioneries. After you make, you will enjoy Wagashi with matcha green tea which I will serve in traditional tea bowls of my collections. During the lesson, not only about creation techniques, but I will also tell you cultural stories behind the confectionaries.
I will also advise you on where to buy certain ingredients, recommended cooking tools, good shops, and so on. You can visit Meiji Shrine, just two stations away, or chill out in Yoyogi Park near my place after the class. Cities such as Shinjuku and Harajuku are accessible too - only five minutes away by train. Every participant will receive a copy of the recipes in English.
