On this tour, I'm inviting you to revisit with me the naughty part of our history at the beginning of the 20th century. We would have a discussion about the impact of prohibition on our city that led Montréal to be known as the Sin City of the North during the cabaret era. Among different adult subjects, we will discuss about the opium trade, the gambling industry, the red light's activities and the famous criminals of Montréal. We will also talk about the different morality squads that fought crimes and corruption for the city. We will also discuss about the transformation that occurred in the entertainment district, a still vibrant part of our beloved city.
I'm a born and raised Montrealer and I'm passionate about my home town. I work in the tourist industrie since 2009. I'm a tour director since 2010 and a certified Montréal tour guide since 2017. On top of my tourism studies, I studied cinema, education, politics and I have a bachelor degree in communication. I love to travel my self and I try as hard as I can to recreate this travelers meeting experience in my tours.
