I love everything about food. In 2002, I founded Home Cooking New York, a recreational cooking school for home cooks in downtown New York City. Previously, I was a food editor at Martha Stewart Living and The Wall Street Journal. I am also the host of the cooking podcast, "Kitchen Radio," (take a listen before the tour!) and the author of "Six Basic Cooking Techniques: Culinary Essentials for the Home Cook." Wandering around the farmers market is one of my top 10 favorite things to do, and I make sure to visit a local market wherever I am traveling, to get a real feel for the community. Come join me!
On occasion, Erica Wides, a well-loved chef-instructor at the school, will lead this tour. She's been teaching professionally for 20 years, and is the host of the web comedy series, "Funny People Making Food."
