Mitä teet

A tour that delves into one of the most intriguing mysteries of our time; the history-changing assassination of President John F. Kennedy. This excursion appeals to anyone who has even a passing interest in one of the twentieth century’s most noteworthy tragedies.

Most people are familiar with the Sixth Floor Museum (the site from which Lee Harvey Oswald allegedly fired the deadly shots), but there are many other places around Dallas associated with the assassination that are just as important. Most of these are completely unknown to the casual observer and are unmarked as to their role in the event, but they are vitally important to understanding what happened that day.

Will follow the “trail” of the assassination events. You will be intrigued and captivated with spellbinding details and background of the events leading to November 22 and beyond, providing new insight into this tragic, very human drama.

Your tour will be escorted conducted in a climate-controlled van and escorted by a JFK historian who possesses an enormous command of the details of that November weekend. He is thoroughly conversant with the personalities and circumstances which shaped the entire episode. Under his direction, this tour will address the full series of events that forever changed the history of the nation and the world.
Other things to note
Please arrive at the meeting point 15 minutes before the tour starts. Gratuities are not included in ticket price. Children under 8 are not permitted on tour. Children are not allowed to sit on laps. Carry on suitcase are not allowed in our excursion.

My 14yo son and I took this tour with our host John. We were planning to take a walking tour but so glad we took this van driven tour as we really got to see how the moving parts of what was going on leading up to and following JFKs assassination. Eg: driving the presidential motorcade route, seeing the police station where Oswald was shot live in TV and our personal favorite, seeing Oswald’s boarding house which has been kept in original condition since he was there. John was full of stories both fact and conspiracy which made the story interesting and had us coming up with our own theories. He was also very helpful in recommending local places to eat and visit. I highly recommend this tour and if you have kids or teens in tow, it is the perfect length to keep them interested. Our tip: ask your tour host to drop you off in Bishop Arts for lunch as you’re already there to visit Oswalds boarding house. Bishop Arts is a cool hipster neighborhood full of great cafes (we ate at Tribal) and cute local shops. Then catch the free trolley back into town and head up to the 6th floor museum for an audio tour of what happened on the day and see the Oswald’s snipers window shot for yourself! It was great to have the break between the tour and visiting the museum to avoid information overload.
