You'll be learning at our beautiful bright loft kitchen, hidden from the street on the top floor of a beautiful old red-brick building (Le Chateau St Ambroise) that was originally built in 1882 as a textile factory!

Awesome experience with Jessica. Would most definitely recommend this to anyone coming to Canada or living in Canada. Would do it again on our next trip to Canada. Jessica made it so welcoming and comfortable. She knew exactly what she was doing and very helpful at the same time. Best experience we had in Canada.

I would like to start off by expressing the positives so the place was easy to get to from the train it’s probably like a six minute walk inside the actual apartment it’s beautiful it’s a nice little oven and the Decour is beautiful which creates the ambience and the host was very inviting when we came in and throughout the cooking demonstration she made sure she stopped to make sure that if we had any question she was available to answer. Cons: I feel bad for the price of $62 it should’ve been a more hands-on experience it was really mostly a cooking demonstration so basically the chef allowed us to do wanted to things such as sift the sugar Separate the egg yolks in the yolk and pipe are fillings and pipe the Macron mix that we made but based off of the pictures I thought we were going to be grouped into two or three people and individually make our own macaroon mix egg whites and etc. for the ingredients and the chef will be there just for guidance but basically it was a group of 11 people and it said that there was going to only be six participants I was not aware if the people who are participating wash their hands and out which is also a big food safety issue and one person was allowed to pipe the macaroons frosting into the piping bag while the other one held the piping bag my major issue was the fact that there was a container full of macaroons that had been cooked God knows how long ago and they were given to us to fill when there was a fresh batch that was made before we came in and it was a fresh batch in the oven but we were told that that was for the other class which made no sense to me we were given old Macarons that the chef herself said she didn’t like so why would you give it to us to consume the feelings were good that was a plus but it was in a lot of feelings feelings that were in the jar were mostly half gone so splitting feelings between 11 people we didn’t all get a chance to get as much feelings as we want it in our macaroons overall I would say that the experience could’ve been better handled and I would appreciate a freshman macaroons and the boxes were too little to fit the macaroons Samantha ended up getting crushed and I also got sick after eating the old Macaroons. For $62 I expected to get at least a dozen of Macaroons or more than just six pieces and I expected to get more than just tea and a cooking demonstration I wanted to experience to be more hands-on

The instructor is very friendly and knowledgeable! Although the group size is small, do not expect to make your own macaroons. You will be watching the instructor do most of the work and will only be able to participate by adding an ingredient to the bowl and hold a pastry bag. Basically, book this experience for tips on how to bake macaroons at home not to actually do the work there. FYI My group ate an old groups macaroons and our new batch was used for the next class.
