Nestled in the mountains of Nagano at an elevation of 860 meters (2,821 feet), this is a luxury home exclusively for those who want to escape tourist traps, experience a side of Japan rarely seen by outsiders, and do it in style. Our 2-bedroom home is 200 sq. meters (2153 sq. feet) large and is a marriage between traditional Japanese architecture and modern technology and comfort. The home is accessible from Tokyo and other major cities via the Shinkansen bullet train or Joshin-etsu Expressway.

Nagano is one of the most mountainous areas of Japan and is well known for its gorgeous nature. It is an excellent destination year round, and is great for hiking, mountain climbing and camping in the spring, summer, and fall and skiing and snowboarding in the winter. It is also a great place for relaxing in traditional onsen hot springs year round. Nagano became famous internationally as the host of the 1998 Winter Olympics.

Ueda City, where our home is located, is known for its deep samurai history. It was home to the powerful Sanada Clan.

While our home is only a few kilometers from the highway and a major Shinkansen bullet train stop, the actual community where it is located is a rural farming village. Anyone looking for some peace and quiet in a traditional town will love the atmosphere.
