"The Antler House," is a private, upscale chalet nestled along one of Vermont's most scenic routes in Plymouth, surrounded by numerous lakes, mountains, and ski slopes. Plymouth has been described by the New York Times as the tranquility between Killington and Okemo. Its a rare blend of serenity, coupled with the town's easy access to two of Vermont's busiest ski resorts draws people to Plymouth. The rural beauty of a wonderful town— its rolling hills and fields framed by lumbering peaks — have changed very little since the area was settled in 1761. Conveniently located, the house is only 3 minutes to Amherst Lake, 15 mins to Lake Rescue and is less than 15 minutes to Okemo, 20 minutes to Killington and Pico Mountains. It is a great place for electronic detox in the midst of nature.

This tastefully decorated house has a great mountain feel and is perfect for an idyllic Vermont trip. Once inside, the house opens up to a convenient slate-entry mudroom area, with hand-crafted built-ins and a wooden bench that provides ample room for your family's belongings. Just off the entryway is a shared ¾ bath and laundry room. Walk down the hall and you're now in the main living area. Here you'll find vaulted ceilings, hardwood flooring, plentiful seating and solarium style windows that engulf you with natural lighting. Whether you've returned from a long day of hiking or skiing, come relax by the fieldstone fireplace, play a game of chess on the antique gaming table, or enjoy a refreshing drink out on the deck. The updated kitchen features all new appliances, granite countertops, soft-close cabinetry and everything you will need to prepare a family meal. The dining area features a large custom-made wooden table with seating for up to 10 guests.

On the main level, you'll find the first of four bedrooms. This room is furnished with a set of gorgeous bunk beds and a hideaway trundle. Off the dining area and up the stairs, you'll find two, private master suites, both come with queen-sized beds. The first master suite offers a cozy reading loft, solarium style windows, and a private bath. The second master suite features a view of the woods through large floor to ceiling windows, a reading chair, and another private bathroom. Walk downstairs to the lower level and you'll find an incredible recreation room with 4 built-in twin beds, an XBOX One gaming system, storage, and a wet bar. In addition, there is a shared bath with stand-up steam shower and sauna for all to enjoy.

Plymouth offers a wide variety of outdoor activities in addition to the great skiing. You'll find snowmobile and cross-country ski trails that wind through forests of sugar maple, birch and pine. There is also the 1,200-acre Hawk Inn and Mountain Resort, a development of single-family houses, condos and an inn that opened in the 1980s, seven miles of cross-country ski trails, three miles of snowshoe trails, two outdoor ice rinks, a sledding hill that is lighted at night and sleigh rides. If you're looking for a spa, gym or indoor/outdoor pool, local restaurant, the chalet is just 5 minutes from Hawk Inn & Resort. Please note, there is a charge to use these amenities, GetAway Vacations is not responsible for days and hours of operation.

Though there is no golf course in Plymouth, the area is a golfer's paradise, with the Green Mountain National Golf Course in Killington, Okemo Valley Golf Club in Ludlow, the Woodstock Country Club and two 18-hole courses in Quechee nearby.
**Due to the location of this house, cell phone service is extremely limited. However, the house provides strong internet connectivity and a landline to connect to the areas in and around Vermont. **
