Matsuyama, Ehime, Japani

In order to make the most out of your trip ,here are what I suggesut you to try first .
ーTourist spots
◉Dogo Onsen
Dogo Onsen is frequently mentioned in "Botchan" and is one of Matsuyama's main tourist attractions. Located on the northeastern outskirts of the city, Dogo Onsen is one of Japan's oldest hot spring resorts.
Dogo Onsen Honkan is the symbol and main attraction of Dogo Onsen. The charismatic bath house was built in 1894 during the Meiji Period.
The Honkan offers two gender-separated, old-fashioned public baths made of stone. The main bath on the first floor is called Kami no Yu .Large communal tatami rooms on the second floor and smaller private rooms on the third floor provide bathers with space to rest and enjoy a snack. Four different admission plans provide visitors.

◉Matsuyama Castle
Matsuyamajo is one of Japan's twelve "original castles", i.e. castles which have survived the post-feudal era since 1868 intact. It is also one of the most complex and interesting castles in the country. There are about 200 cherry trees on the castle grounds, making this a lovely cherry blossom spot typically around late March to early April each year.
Matsuyama Castle was constructed between 1602 and 1628. In 1635, the castle got assigned to a branch of the Matsudaira family, relatives of the nation ruling Tokugawa, and it remained in their hands until the end of the feudal era. The current three storied castle tower was constructed in 1820 after the original five storied one had been destroyed by lightning.

◉Visit Ishiteji Temple
The Ishiteji temple is a Shingon temple present in Matsuyama. It is the temple 51 on the Shikoku 88 temple pilgrimage. About seven of its structures have been designated the status of National Treasury. The temple is a bit out of the roadway and is connected with a beautiful museum. The temple is popular for its quiet atmosphere and fine architecture. It is also just at a 15 to 20 minutes from the Dogo Onsen tram stop.

...So many places ,you will definitely to have a good time to stay here .

Hi there! It is our pleasure to host people new to Japan. We’re born and raised Ehime. Sake and food lover and traveler. Our home reflects what we’ve seen during travel experiences and our style. On our day off, we go for hiking and cycling to Neighborhood. Our favorite place is Takao mountain for hiking. Also Japan is great place to have tasty Sake. There is a lot of Bar and Izakaya(informal Japanese gastropub) which serve tons of amazing local Sake. Hope you enjoy Japan as much as I do !
