We live in an almost new home in a family neighbourhood in Omokoroa, on the Omokoroa Peninsula, which is semi-rural but an easy drive to the city of Tauranga , on the East Coast of the North Island, in the Bay of Plenty. It is 21km from our house to the Tauranga CBD, 26km to the Tauranga airport, and 27km to Mt Maunganui. It is an easy 2 1/2hr drive to Auckland.
It is a small community of approx 4000 people, with a number of parks and a walkway/bike path around the peninsula, with views across the water to Mt Maunganui, Port of Tauranga and various islands. The car ferry to Matakana Island leaves from the end of the peninsula.

Anton and I are a mature aged couple. We love to travel and, when we lived in Timaru, enjoyed hosting people from all over the world, through Airbnb. We have now moved to the Bay of Plenty in the North Island to be closer to our young adult daughters, and look forward to continuing our journey with Airbnb.
