Stay in this blissful spot near Bowdoin. Watch the sunset, use my kayak, go for a swim, drive to nearby Popham Beach or relax on the deck. The apartment includes two bedrooms (queen and double), kitchenette, full bath, wifi, use of deck and grill.

This house is located on Back Cove in West Bath. The property faces west allowing for incredible nightly sunsets. The space for rent is the bottom floor within my house. It has a separate entrance, 2 water view bedrooms, a large living room, kitchenette, full bath and outside area. The apartment will comfortably fit 4 people, but additional people are possible.

Back cove is a rural neighborhood with both summer and year round homes. My house house is located right on the water with a convenient staircase to get to the waters edge. I am near idyllic walking areas such as the Hamilton Audobon Sanctuary and Merritt Island (part of Maine Island Trails). There are superb beaches within 25 minutes drive (Popham Beach, Head Beach, Reid State Park). Or, this location is a short drive from the quaint downtown areas of both Bath and Brunswick and the outlet shopping mecca in Freeport. There are many local eateries ranging from wharfside seafood take out to Asian Fusion that will satisfy both foodies and scavengers alike.

I grew up in Vermont and summered on the coast of Maine, then I lived in Denver where I loved skiing and traveling in my RV. But, I missed the ocean too much, and I moved to Maine year round in my early adulthood. Each morning I love observing the tidal fluctuations on the cove, hearing the ducks, seeing the circling eagles and swimming in the mudflat warmed water. I feel truly special to live in this spot, and I love sharing it with others. I am recently retired, and when I am not at my house I love to travel. I have done several trips with Habitat for Humanity, bringing me to rural corners of the earth to interact with locals and do service while learning about other cultures. I love to camp, kayak, and spend time out on my boat. Most of all, I love spending time with my grandchildren!
