Very, very popular and extremely trendy with many boutiques, shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. Start your day immersed in history, as you wake to the sound of the USS Constitution firing it’s cannon’s each morning. Follow in the footsteps of Paul Revere; the North End has a Walk score of 100.

You will be staying in the one of the most iconic and photographed neighborhoods in the world, the North End in Boston..you’ll see tourists are everywhere– but since you’re living like a local, suddenly you’ll feel how celebrities feel!
If you are looking for a truly local experience, The Apartment is a great pick as the streets are chock full of friendly neighbors. Locals consider the streets their backyard–participate in their boisterous conversations, attend a lawn chair concert with loud opera music, and or over warm Cappuccino’s, join in a lively discussion of the days’ events.
The North End is like no other place in the world, when walking around here, you’ll feel as though you’re walking the streets of Italy, or a movie set, as many famous films were shot in and around the neighborhood. At the nearby dockside Long Wharf, and right up the street at the Moakley Courthouse, Martin Scorsese’s Oscar winning film, The Departed, with Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, Jack Nicholson, Mark Wahlberg, and Alec Baldwin was shot. The neighborhood has also been the recent backdrop for the Johnny Depp movie, Black Mass, the film about the real life, notorious gangster, James ‘Whitey’ Bulger, as well as Ben Affleck’s Prohibition era picture, Live By Night- a crime drama about Dorchester native, Dennis Lehane, and the crime drama, The Town, as well his directorial debut, Gone Baby Gone. The list goes on.
Of note: The last two films were in production and being shot around town are ‘Stronger’ with Jake Gyllenhaal, about a Boston Marathon Bombing Survivor, and Patriots Day, by Mark Wahlberg, which chronicles the Boston Marathon bombings.

Wanna see some history but don’t have much time? We’ve got it all right here.
Hop on and off the Freedom Trail by visiting the Old North Church, Paul Revere House, Copp's Hill Burial Ground. Jump onto the T and visit Back Bay via the Orange Line and Green Line. The Bunker Hill Monument/Constitution, Downtown and Beacon Hill about 15 minutes walk.
Local Historic Attractions: Freedom Trail, Old North Church, Statue of Paul Revere, Paul Revere House, Granary Burial Ground, View of Bunker Hill monument and Constitution from waterfront park.
The pulse of the city is electric and powered by food, art, fashion and technology. Just a twenty- minute walk, you’ll discover the Diller Scofido + Renfro’s designed Institute of Contemporary Art, whose glass-walled amphitheater overlooks Boston Harbor, the New England Aquarium, which offers scientist guided Whale Watch Tours or the Museum of Science, which features the most technologically advanced digital theater, the Charles Hayden Planetarium.
The Apartment sits smack dab in one of the oldest neighborhoods in the United States and adjacent to North Square, the oldest public square in America. The Puritans arrived and settled in the North End as early as 1645. Cobblestone streets were laid out, wharves and warehouses constructed, as well as houses, averaging 400 sq. ft in size, and churches. From the pulpit of the original North Church, the Puritan Pastor, Increase Mather, and his son, Cotton Mather, ministered their congregation with passages from Increase Mather’s 1689 book, Memorable Providences Relating to Witchcraft and Possessions, which fueled the witchcraft hysteria in Salem. Both men are buried in nearby Old North Cemetery on Copp’s Hill.
The site at Copp’s Hill is a must see- and includes gravestones that contain musket holes from the Revolutionary War. Also of note- early residents of the North End included slaves who lived in an area called, New Guinea, after the region of Africa from which they were captured. Their graves are also In Old North Cemetery.
In 1721, the now famous Old North Church, erected a steeple atop the church, which rose 192 feet in the air, and was used as a beacon to help ships navigate the rocky coastline of Boston harbor. It was here that the young boy, Paul Revere, worked for five pennies a month, ringing the morning Church bells.
The North End is often called Boston’s Little Italy, as the one square mile community is home to one of the last remaining old skool, very Italian neighborhoods, the descendants of Genovese, Sicilian, Milanese and Neapolitan immigrant families who originally settled here have lived in the North End for generations.
Of note-the North End has had some very notorious residents, many ‘made-men’ and wiseguy’s that now live in the "Big House. " If you see, ‘Men In Black’ suits taking photos on the corner, be aware that they may be around keeping tabs on their ‘assigned familia.’
The North End has also been home to many notable persons from recent history- the English author, Charles Dickens, ‘Honey Fitz’ Fitzgerald (President John F. Kennedy’s Grandfather), who became Boston’s first Irish Mayor, as well as his daughter, Rose Fitzgerald, who married a Kennedy.
People watching in the North End is amazing-you never know what’s going to happen at any time North End; many happenings are impromptu- Arthur Fiedler, the conductor of the world famous Boston Symphony Orchestra, aka Boston Pops, once conducted an impromptu concert on Hanover Street; Richard Cardinal Cushing, Archbishop of Boston celebrated the 75th anniversary of the Sacred Heart Church with an outdoor mass in North Square.

With over 100 restaurants and bakeries surrounding The Apartment, mangia mangia mangia! Old skool luncheonettes, family owned bakeries, local coffee shops and corner deli's abound. Join the locals for a game of bocce. Play tennis overlooking at the Constitution. See the city by renting a sailboat; a hubway bike or join an Urban Adventour. Faneuil Hall, Quincy Market, TD Garden all within walking distance.

For quieter moments, simply walk to Hanover Street for a Cafe each day, enjoy a free outdoor concert on the Paul Revere Mall, or hop on and off the Duck Boat, or enjoy the nighttime stars with a stroll through Boston Commons, or window shop along Newbery Street. You could immerse yourself here for a week and still not do it all.

Chef/Restaurateur, Joanna Chang, runs Flour Bakery, with 4 locations, the closest, on 12 Farnsworth Street. She also runs the Asian diner, Myers+Chang, 1145 Washington Street.
Chef Restaurateur, Barbara Lynch, runs local spots in the Fort Points District, on Congress Street, which connects Financial District to waterfront. Menton and Row 34.
For Tapas, we recommend Toro, 1704 Washington Street.
North End: Pizza Regina, Neptune Oyster, Modern Pastry, Mikes Pastry, Umbertos (only lunch).

I live in my apartment year round and ask that you take care of it when you are visiting.

Boston, Massachusetts, Yhdysvallat

Boston’s own Little Italy, the North End, is a neighborhood with European roots where parades and pastries flow from every corner, but has been adopted by a new generation that favors green smoothies, as well as gelato.

To all our guests, past and future- We wish you and your family peace & good health during the COVID-19 PANDEMIC. It is a devastating time for us all, waking each morning wondering what the world has in store for us today. In Boston, as the birds are chirping, the vividly colored crocus, daffodils & hyacinth’s bursting up along the Rose Kennedy Greenway Park; we have hope the pandemic will end soon, bringing with it a kinder, gentler future for us all. We look forward to the time when we all can enjoy the beauty & history this great city and our neighborhood has to offer! FIRST RESPONDERS, MEDICAL STAFF & THOSE THAT NEED TO ISOLATE/WORK SPACE..please reach out directly. Please stay safe & we hope to see you soon! -Alex One final note on guest safety. As a SUPERHOST guest safety is one of our highest priorities. Behind the scenes, in preparation for your stay, we spend on average 5 hours cleaning & disinfecting our apartment for before check in vs. 30 minutes, the average time a hotel maid cleans a room. We use an estimated (2) 75 count Clorox wipes/green scent to disinfect the apartment ( as Clorox wipes are prioritized for hospitals we have switched to clorox and hydrogen peroxide) for each guest stay. If you would like more information regarding our extensive cleaning methodology, including details such as : entire repainting of the apartment each year, purchasing new linens, deep cleaning the couch and rugs, etc…glad to share it, just ask.
