Driftwood Paradise is award-winning. The Pad is nestled into native bush on a private peninsula , 30 minutes from the boutique village of Kerikeri, a morning’s drive from Auckland. Spacious, self-contained studio Pad designed with relaxation and ambience in mind, explore the lush surrounding forest, take the dinghy for a row or settle into a hammock and dream.

Sleeping up to 2 in a queen bed, ( there is also a mezzanine room for extras ) Snuggle into luxury Wallace Cotton linen and listen to the ocean, native birdsong and our resident kiwis who call to each other from dusk. Self-catering with simple larder supplies, stay in and BBQ or head out to Kerikeri’s excellent restaurant culture. Bring the boat and be in the Bay of Islands in minutes to fish or dive. Relax on the deck or take a beach towel down to the beach. The Pad has WiFi, a movie library, and HDMI for your Netflix.

No detail is forgotten, your perfect, relaxing escape is ready and waiting.

Kerikeri is a foodie and boutique shoppers paradise with local markets, vineyards and cultural events to enjoy.
Most of our guests arrive fully stocked up and settle in and enjoy all Driftwood Paradise offers.
There are wonderful walks and lots of history in the area. Marsden Cross is a must for early NZ history.

Vanessa and her family are serious travelers and sailors. After 8 years at sea they have made Driftwood Seaside Escapes, 110 acres on the Purerua Peninsula, their home and business. Offering unique insight into authentic & nostalgic Kiwi life through their gorgeous accommodation, which is designed to be your ticket to affordable laid back luxury.

Being travelers too, the Owen family realised that the feeling of being "at home" is very important when traveling, whether you are still in your own country or on the other side of the world. Each of our cottages is both your home away from home as well as a reflection of our travels. You can see the years spent in France and the Caribbean reflected in the interior design and tropical gardens, making each private bach a very personal space that also reflects the unique and casual Kerikeri lifestyle, whilst making guests feel immediately relaxed and at home.
