“When Thomas Wolfe looked homeward, Asheville is the town he referenced. Wolfe grew up in this house, located downtown near many of the sites. His mother ran it as a boarding house and "Look Homeward Angel" proved to be his most popular work based on this house (and Asheville of course). The Riverside Cemetery is where the Wolfe clan is interred. Both are well worth a visit. ”

“Free tours. Small, but beautiful antique car museum. Great collection of early 1900s (Model T, Model A) up through the 1950s. Their 1957 Cadillac Eldorado is one of the most stunning automobiles we have ever seen! The guide is an awesome gentleman who is full of historic information. Not only about the cars, and their owner, but also about the textile manufacturing next door. Don't miss it!”

“This is the most visited National Park in America, with 16 million visitors per year. And for good reason, The Parkway is a great, relaxing drive in beautiful Western North Carolina. Hiking trails abound along the route. Another entrance to the Parkway is located just over Sunset Mountain behind EverMore Asheville. Follow Sunset Drive upward to Town Mountain Drive, then go up, over and down until you reach a dead end at the Blue Ridge Parkway. To the left, you will eventually find Craggy Gardens (about 20 minutes drive), a beautiful and easy hiking spot, and a great place for a picnic.”
