“This represents Boise's Park system. Ride your bikes west along Heron for 4 blocks and then turn left or south on 23rd street. You will cross State Street in a cross walk. After crossing State Street, you will continue south for 2 blocks until you turn right or west on Pleasanton. Ride Pleasanton west for about 1 mile until you reach White Water Park boulevard and you will again cross via a cross walk and you will see a store called Idaho River Sports across the boulevard and on your right. You can rent Stand Up Paddle Boards and/or kayaks and paddle the 3 ponds of Esther Simplot Park. If you keep riding your bikes through the park you will arrive at the River where you can find manmade waves for surfing and kayaking. You are also now riding on our Greenbelt that travels on both sides of the river. There are too many places to mention, but you can find plenty of places to stop for food or drink along the Greenbelt. If you are more interested in exploring nature, I would head west or downriver. If you want to see more of our parks or want to ride into downtown 8th street, then I would head east or upriver. The Greenbelt is flat and it's easy riding and makes for an excellent leisurely ride. Boise has many really fun places to explore and a bike is a great way to explore them.”

“A gorgeous park in downtown Boise. This is also the take out for floating the boise river. The float is very fun and easy to do and most days there is a school bus you can take back to the put in for easy transportation. ”

“Take a Sunrise Hike to Table Rock Hiking Table Rock is a 3.7-mile loop trail. From the top, you can experience views of the city! The trail is easy, with a steady incline. The dusty trail takes you through the foothills on Boise, and from the top you can see the curves and ripples of the mountain view. Tips for Hiking Table Rock Trail in Boise, ID: • Go early in the morning for sunrise or later for sunset (there is no shade so it’s very hot during a hot summer day!) • Wear sturdy, broken-in hiking shoes. • Bring a water bottle, sunscreen, and a hat. • The hike takes about 45 minutes to an hour. ”
