Finnish cooking class in ♡ of Helsinki
I will welcome you in my home in the design district, Punavuori. The plan for the evening is to create together a traditional Finnish meal consisting of a starter, a main course and dessert. You will get your hands dirty with peeling, chopping and kneading. Sounds like a lot? Finns like to keep things uncomplicated in all aspects of life - including cooking - so we will finish prepping on time. An example menu looks like: Lohikeitto (salmon soup) Lihapyörykät (Finnish meatballs) Korvapuusti (cinnamon rolls) THE MENU WILL CHANGE ACCORDING TO SEASON AND THE REQUEST OF GUESTS THAT SIGNED UP. While we are preparing dinner together, you will have the chance to learn about various exotic Nordic ingredients from the seas and forests exclusive to this region. At the dinner table we can then discuss the latest gossips of the Finnish gastro scene, and you can ask me for tips and recommendations where to eat next. You will also take home a printed version of the recipes with you, so you can share them with your friends and family when your vacation is over. I have vegetarian, vegan, lactose- and gluten-free menu options too. Just ask.

Professional photoshoot in Helsinki
We meet near the main railway station or somewhere else in the city center. The place of the photoshoot depends on the weather conditions, the location is negotiated before a photoshoot. I know nice places in Helsinki, starting with the city center and finishing with natural areas. If you prefer the center, we can take photos in the park of Botanical garden, the Senate square, Katajanokka, or the Töölö and Eira neighbourhoods. However, if you want to get picturesque photos in the Nordic nature, we can take a walk on the Lauttasaari island or Suomenlinna island (a 20 min ferry trip). As a result, you’ll have 25-30 professionally edited photos within 14 days. Things to note: Before a photoshoot, I discuss outfits or, at least, colours of your clothes. It’s essential, because it affects the result. I send you examples of clothes that will perfectly suit for a shoot in the location of your choice. In the spring and summer season I don’t take photos in the midday, because of the harsh light. If you want to get beautiful and warm pictures it’s better to book a photoshoot after 19:00. We have a long light day in Finland at this season. If you need a photoshoot in the middle of the day, I’m open for discussion. Please, contact me for time outside the schedule. My main goal is that you get beautiful photos from mesmerising Helsinki, which will keep you warm with good memories.

Santa Comes Bearing Berries
The Aurora Borealis never stood a chance compared to this experience – a visit from the main man of the arctic circle, the one and the only Santa Claus who brings with him a fully loaded taste experience with knowledge and laughter. Here Santa comes to your accommodation and presents you the most Lappish treat there is: Lätty with Berries and Chaga Mushroom tea. Santa will share his knowledge about the berries and chaga, that are in fact the secret to his long age, great health and awesome sense of humor. You will learn and taste the best that northern pristine wilderness has to offer, and you will laugh, or else Santa might condemn you as naughty. All of the offered natural treats are hand picked and preserved by Mr. Claus: Cloudberry Trust Santa as he tells you that this legendary icon can only be described as follows: One berry to rule them all. Blueberry Grown under the 24/7 sun, full of a taste of life – totally a different breed than the cultivated push blueberries. Lingonberry A bit bitter and sharp in taste, this opinion divider might be the healthiest of the set. Chaga Mushroom Life is strange and thus the fountain of youth is an ugly a** mushroom that grows in the birches of the arctic. *More information about the berries with the pictures *Presentation takes about 40 min *Santa can give presents you have for your loved ones

Helsinki Architecture Tour with a City Planner
Helsinki is a gem for architecture enthusiasts. It is difficult to find another urban space that houses a wide range of architectural styles like Helsinki; neoclassical, neorenaissance, neogothic, art nouveau-jugendstil, nordic classicism, modernism, and contemporary styles in a compact city centre. In addition to its rich architectural history and variety, Helsinki was chosen as the World Design Capital in 2012 and was awarded with City of Design status by UNESCO in 2014. All these features coupled with the importance given to design elevated Helsinki into being a major city of architecture. Different historical periods left their marks on Helsinki; however it is easy to miss these great works of world renowned architects (from Engel to Saarinen, from Sonck to Aalto) in ordinary city tours as there are layers of architecture in each corner of the white city of the North. We will start our tour at the historical centre, visiting various landmarks, and then make our way to the modern centre. I will explain the political, social, cultural, economic changes and trends that gave way to various style changes in Finland so you will get a clear picture of Finnish design and architecture’s progress over two centuries. This architecture tour also offers you superb opportunities for taking great pictures on our route. Please check out my bio to go to my website for various tours.
