My place is across the street from the beach, next to an outdoor dinner restaurant, close to family-friendly activities, nightlife, and public transport. You’ll love my place because of its authentic tropical decor, outdoor seating with fruit trees, affordability, cool and private location, walking distance to watersports and a fresh-fish market, restaurants, shopping, churches, golf, spa and places of historical interest. My place is good for couples and solo adventurers.
In certain seasons you can pick your own breadfruits and mangoes from trees overhanging the private outdoor area at the back of the apartment or barbecue some fresh fish bought down the street. For a change of scenery in the cool evening you can change your dining location to the area adjoining the front entrance and still enjoy the privacy your gate affords. Security is assured by grilles which means that although you should keep your doors locked when going out, you can keep the windows open day or night. The restaurant owners next door are friendly and welcoming.
This neighbourhood is authentic Barbados and friendly; from the fishermen on the beach, to the people living nearby. You will find that interspersed between top of the line hotels and condos, there are modest homes and businesses. The man selling papers naps between customers just up the street. My son Simon carries on his screen printing business in his home just two buildings away. He prints great T-shirt designs. Just ask to see some of it.

UPDATE : Barbados is among the 6 safest places to visit in the world given the status of the Coronavirus. Ours is a secure secluded gated villa A beautiful 2-bedroom, ground floor apartment. Walking distance to white sand beaches, shops, restaurants and supermarket. This is a very spacious, breezy and private villa apartment. Windows also equipped with mosquito screens.
This gated villa is on famous Holders Hill, by the polo field, and Captain Kidd's property where the Farmers' Market is held. The beach is downhill; the way back takes about 10 minutes walking. If you fear an uphill walk (a regular and well travelled route by locals), you would do best with a car. This is a 2-bedroom villa on the ground floor of the building.The villa boasts a private back yard with a Jacuzzi plunge pool, a hammock and is surrounded by Caribbean foliage. The view is toward the sunset and the Caribbean Sea is 1.1 km away. Sounds of tree frogs will lull you to sleep and the neighbourhood roosters will suggest when to get up, to add to the cultural experience. British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, Thomson Airways (TUI) and Thomas Cook from UK. Canadians should check WestJet and Air Canada Rouge, and Americans should check American and Jet Blue.
Holders Hill has a polo field, a farmers market every Sunday, and is very centrally located, yet is not on the main road like the major hotels. Thus, the air is clean and fresh. Holetown has one of the best medical clinics on the island, and grocery stores are in all directions.

This beautiful tropically furnished air-conditioned apartment up with a high ceilings and a small roof deck that looks out towards the sea and the street. The beds can either be made up as two singles or one king. Free parking and wifi are included
The apartment is beautiful and cosy with a high loft-like roof, attractive light fittings, lots of windows and tropical decor. In addtion to the living room there is a dining nook adjoining the full kitchen as well as dining on the outdoor roofdeck. The entire space is air-conditioned and looks out towards the sea, the street and neighbouring gardens. The authentic hardwood floors are easy on the feet and supplies included soaps, toilet paper, iron and ironing board. Included appliances are a microwave, blender, toaster and coffeemaker. Included also are beach loungers.
This is a wonderful location. You can start your day swimming with the turtles at a very safe beach, have breakfast listening to the birds chirping in the nextdoor palms, or in the evening you can sit on the balcony with blended tropical fruit drinks and barbecued fresh fish or go to the cinema or nightclubs - all within a radius of 3 miles.

This is a new cosy space with modern amenities. Very clean and conveniently located three minutes from the beach and is very central.
My neighbourhood consists of several hotels, restaurants, a gas station, in my area there is a small convenient shop and a methodist church at the bottom of the street, also a lovely ocean view.

Amelia’s is comfortable, modern and clean. It is ideal for friends, couples and families wanting to spend intimate days and nights together. The outdoor area provided is great space for kids to play and there are games available in the apartment to support this. On occasions you can see the local green monkey, playing in the nearby trees. If you like ice cream, there is the most delicious shop a stones throw away serving a range of mouth watering flavours. Lots of eateries at your fingertips.
Amelia’s is set back off the road and is safe for families and single people. Spacious kitchen with large capacity fridge and freezer. Plenty of cupboards stocked with everything you need. Dining table comfortably seats 4 for dining with Caribbean cross breezes for comfortable eating or playing board games. A modern clean bathroom with stand up shower. A living room with couch and 2 easy chairs for reading and meditation. Two good sized bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with 2 single beds. Both bedrooms have air conditioning and lots of shelving, storage and hangers. Outdoor eating spaces available. A smoking outdoor area provided with a bench to sit on for you comfort. We are doing out bit for the planet by striving to become more environmentally friendly. Our new air conditioning units have motion sensors and will switch off the units if no motion is detected in the room after 15 minutes. We also heat our hot water using solar energy, we are trying our best to be more energy conscious which allows us to keep our prices low for you.
The apartment is private and secluded yet close to all the action. You can get to most place on the island via the local buses that are situated within 3 minutes from the apartment. Blue or yellow “ reggae” buses come often and for $3.50, you can go anywhere. Taxi stand available frequently up and down the high road. Our nearest taxi stand is a 3 minute walk near the Esso gas station, opposite Tamarind Cove hotel; Tamarind Taxis. The environment has plenty of wildlife; cheeky monkeys, grazing black belly sheep and chickens can be found locally, get you camera out and get your snaps quickly. Cockerels nearby can be heard calling each other early in the morning, if you are a light sleeper, be prepared for these sounds of nature that will help you to seize the day early and make the most of the island in the sun.

The apartment is elegantly furnished to a luxurious standard and boasts stunning sea views. The apartment benefits from a huge balcony, which is accessed by Bi fold doors from the lounge and also from the master bedroom. The balcony accommodates a large dining area, large socialising area with arm chairs and a coffee table and a Hot Tub Spa.
All three bedrooms are furnished beautifully, with particular attention to detail.The apartment can be set up with Super Kingsized beds in all 3 bedrooms, or the middle bedroom can be set up with twin beds, depending on your preference. The master bedroom has a walk in wardrobe and the ensuite bathroom has a large corner bath as well as a separate shower cubicle, Double vanity unit wash basins and toilet. The 2 other bathrooms have a shower, toilet and vanity unit wash basin. Looking for a vacation in a quiet residential neighborhood with a partial view of the sea, and within five minutes walk to sea then this is the place for you! The rental is a 1200 sq. ft. two bedroom ground floor apartment situated on a ridge on a single lane roadway; no highway in sight and no passing traffic. Excellent for that quiet get away to rejuvenate yourself and finally get that novel finished.
    This newly built two bedroom apartment offers complete privacy and is totally self catering with fully equipped kitchen and dining room spaces. There is a living and entertainment room space with a flat screen TV, android box, WIFI etc. Private off road parking. Apartment sleeps a maximum of 4 persons; king size bed in one bedroom and two divan beds in the second bedroom. Ceiling fans in both bedrooms and living room; air conditioning available in both bedrooms for an additional fee. A shower and 6ft bath in one bathroom and a shower in the second en-suite bathroom. A washing machine is located on the patio at the entrance to the apartment. High speed internet with access to 100s of channels from all over the world and movies. Partial view of the sea from the ample spaced patio. The apartment can also be rented as a one-bedroom apartment; discount would be applied. The apartment truly offers a visitor that feel of a home away from home!
    The apartment is definitely in a residential area. The beach is 5 minutes walk away; located on the west of the island. Waters tend to be very calm and great for swimming/snorkelling. Neighbors tend to congregate at the beach at Paynes Bay early in the mornings and late in the afternoon - the beach can at times be a community meeting ground of sorts. The Paynes Bay beach park is also a definite plus; the benches allow a visit to the beach for a "sand free" picnic or get together (please see pics). The neighborhood also has several other vacation apartments, so day by day especially during the winter season several overseas guests make up the community. The apartment is in close proximity to the Paynes Bay fish market - where cooked fish can be bought - a pizza parlour, an ice cream shop, a roti shop, and the Paynes Bay ESSO gas station and convenience shop where a full range of food and drink can be bought . Holetown in the north and Bridgetown in the south are only 7 minutes drive from the apartment. The new ultra modern Massy supermarket and the high-end Limegrove Mall with cinemas are located in Holetown. Lots to see and do within close proximity of the apartment.

    The beachfront apartment is wonderful for a family or a group of friends. Guests can lounge and barbecue in the beachfront garden or watch the sun go down from the verandah. Swim with the turtles or relax indoors in the tropical décor.
    The apartment is very family friendly and spacious and there is ample room to entertain any other friends or family that may be visiting the island at the same time either in the garden or on the verandah. The beach is public so you can entertain there too. It is perfectly safe to drink water from the tap.
    The neighbor hood is a mixture of hotels, condos, restaurants, bars and private homes owned and occupied by locals, all interspersed between each other so it does not feel "touristy".

Se on hyvin varusteltu, meillä oli vain 3 yötä, mutta voit majoittua mukavasti paljon kauemmin. Se oli helppo löytää, ja Karen vastaanotti meidät lämpimästi ja selitti paikallisesta alueesta ja sen mukavuuksista. Saapuessaan Karen varoitti meitä liikenteen melusta. It is a very airy apartment with outside dining and sitting area.
    It is a local neighborhood where you will find everyone is very friendly and helpful. The children usually play outside until dusk and then the noise of crickets takes over, which is very Caribbean.

    We live in Durants Village on Holders Hill which is close to the Barbados Polo Club. Our village is mainly made of locals. There are some local rum shops in the village as well further down the hill. Wendy's Sport Bar in Fitts Village is great for good local food and drinks at very good prices - the beers are always cold and they even serve prosecco! Also nearby is Daphnes, Scarlet, Treasure Beach if you would like to try a more sophisticated meal experience. In Holetown there is a large selection of restaurants, bars, cafes and retail shopping.

Within a five minute drive in either direction are supermarkets. There is shopping, places of interest and medical and other facilities nearby.
    The apartment is in a safe neighbourhood with a fantastic beach which is suitable for all kinds of watersports and picknicking. Local calls are free on the telephone provided and there is a shared washer at our main building. Beach chairs are also available at the main building and must not be left on the beach at night.
    All around are outdoor cafes, there is a roti shop and and ice cream parlour and most evenings fishermen sell fresh fish next to the roadside.

    Beachside Apartment 1 is one half of a small duplex. It is furnished in a contemporary, casual style and is ideal for singles or a couple. It has a well-equipped kitchen, living/dining space, separate bedroom with attached bathroom, enclosed patio and small outdoor seating area. The apartment is conveniently located just steps from a tranquil beach and a few minutes drive (or bus ride) from a wide variety of shops, restaurants and other facilities.
    The apartment is just steps from the beach but it is also close to a main road. This means easy access to public transport but it also means traffic noise. If you're concerned about the noise levels, check the reviews for Beachside Apartment #2 to hear what others had to say since Apt #2 is the other half of the duplex.
    If you want a beach holiday, you're just steps away - there's reef for snorkeling and some sandy bays ideal for swimming. However, although the property is close to the beach it is also close to the highway, which makes it convenient for public transport but also quite noisy during the day.
