Foster’s Bighorn Restaurant is an old-fashioned saloon, vintage 1931, started by Bill Foster, a nefarious scoundrel, one step in front of the law. Bill was shipped to Africa as a young boy and loved it. He returned to Africa in 1928 for a big safari afterwards, making many trips there as well as to Canada, Alaska, Montana and everywhere big game roamed. Bill often brought his own taxidermist when he traveled

It's a nice quaint bar/restaurant with a seaside motif, and it's mighty comfy. The food is American fare, and it's always above average, which makes it reliable. There's aren't many restaurants in Rio Vista, and this one pegs as one of its finest.

Food scene

Lucy's is an excellent restaurant in Rio Vista. I Have tried most items on their menu, my favorites, at least for now are the Veal Piccata or the Chicken Piccata. Their Thursday night BBQ Ribs so delicious and meaty.

Hwy 12 Diner is a hub where Rio Vista locals and travelers alike can gather for homemade comfort food in a cozy atmosphere or the best cappuccino in town at our coffee bar. We serve breakfast and lunch favorites, artisan coffee, along with classic comfort food.

I love this place! A real throwback to the past. Looking for fancy? Not the place for you. Looking for good old-timey Chinese food, then here's the situation. Skip the buffet and order off the menu.

One of my favorite places to eat since I moved to Rio Vista. Very family-friendly, and I am never disappointed by the food. The delivery time versus actually going in to eat isn't much of a difference, which is fine. It just depends on if you'd rather eat at home or there. Either way, it's worth it!

Liikkuminen

Most places I listed are just a few walkable minutes away

My location is less than a two-minute walk to downtown and the Sacramento River. It is very safe to stroll around day or night, and it's a little bustling on Friday and Saturday nights.
