Country Walks
There are lots of lovely walks in the AONB from the barn. Please consult https://www.eastsussex.gov.uk/leisureandtourism/countryside/rightsofway/map/
We have no pubs to call in at but there is the wonderful cafe at King John's lodge if you feel in need of refreshments en route. I have made some recommendations for walks a bit further afield
You can park here and walk down to Bewl Water, take a turn around part of the huge lake and then back for quaffing and or lunch

Set off from the Abbey and walk through fields and woodlands. Keep going straight, don't go off to the left, then when you hear the main road turn up to the right and it will take you to Great Park Farm nursery who do stunning cakes and lovely food then walk back afterwards. The Abbey hotel do good food too.

High Street Set off from the Abbey and walk through fields and woodlands. Keep going straight, don't go off to the left, then when you hear the main road turn up to the right and it will take you to Great Park Farm nursery who do stunning cakes and lovely food then walk back afterwards. The Abbey hotel do good food too.
Lovely walk around their beautiful lake, very peaceful. Then food and drink back at the hotel in their beautiful gardens or overlooking the swimming pool or duck pond.
