You don't have to travel far from our Airbnb to see and experience some of the best sights that Minnesota has to offer!
Jay Cooke is alive with color. The trails are clear and well maintained. We love the winding river sounds and sites. Birds chirping, moss growing, leaves blazing with color in the fall and lush green all through the year. What more could you ask for? How about an easy 15 minute drive to the park? We recommend:
-- The swinging bridge with great views of the river.
--Consider hiking the Silver Creek loop about 3.5 miles (plan 2 hours).
--The Munger bike trail is paved and runs the length of the park.

Waterfall is simply gorgeous and so relaxing. It's very easy walking and accessible paved trails down to the falls. You can also access more rigorous hiking trails and access near to the Superior Hiking Trail.

The Canal Park in Duluth is an active harbor with large cargo ships and a schedule to see them arrive and depart. The Lift Bridge is one of a kind and must "rise" for the large ships to pass through to the safe harbor. We recommend you take a stroll along the canal and drive over the bridge to the sandy beach a the end of the road. It's a hidden gem and away from the crowd.

You’ll know you’ve arrived when you see the airport and the beach will be on your left on the other side of the sand dune!

A long stretch of rare, sandy beach with easy access and the closest in Duluth ... just head across the Aerial lift bridge and don’t rush as it’s a leisurely residential drive down to e beach area. You’ll know you’ve arrived when you see the airport and the beach will be on your left on the other side of the sand dune!

Mexican Lindo previously known as Pedro’s Grill has organized “take out” or inside a nice quiet bar stools area for traveling solos. Ample space doe a larger group and we’ve never had a bad meal there and always a fair price for large portions !

Great historic bar area and often has live music. The dining room area is very family friendly and some of the tables have a view of Lake Superior too! They offer micro-brews if that's your thing and the local smoked trout in dishes is to die-for... we recommend the trout wrap or go bigger for a steak or burger and you won't be disappointed. TIP: This is a popular place for dining, so if you show up during a prime meal time be prepared for a 20+ minute wait for a table. Call ahead and they should make a reservation for you. The bar area is usually pretty accessible at all times, until you get later in the evening a seat may be hard to find when the live music starts; arrive early for a seat.
