One block away from my back door, this farm-to-table restaurant has been featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. I love sitting on their deck on a warm day enjoying a beer and a delicious sandwich.

Sightseeing
Looking out over the top of the Duluth skyline from atop Enger Tower is quite a sight to behold. Built in 1939 on the W. Duluth hillside, this 5-story tower is a great spot to watch the sun rise.

Wow, just...wow. When the snow melts, these falls are absolutely raging! The water runs slower in the summer months providing cool pools to splash around in. The river spills over ancient lava flows.

The deep gorge cut by this river has amazing geologic features including massive potholes, multiple ancient lava flows stacked upon one another, and super cool mineral deposits in the rocks.

Chester Creek winds through this park with great hiking trails, lots of grassy places for picnics and tossing around the pigskin, space for the dogs to run around, and even a playground for the kids.

Palisade Head is a massive rhyolite lava flow within ancient lava flows that occur along the shore from Duluth to Canada. It's a sheer 300 ft drop to the lake with an amazing view of Shovel Point.

I have recommended so many people to Kyle Allen at Benchmark and they've all been blown away by this guy's work. Not only can he do just about anything, the shop itself is clean and artfully decorated
