Food Scene

This is a wonderful little deli that serves great coffee and home-cooked-style food. It's perched at the top of Tamboerskloof on a pretty street lined with Victorian Houses. The views from the top are beautiful. Sit outside, cafe-style, or on a rainy day, settle in downstairs where it's more cosy. This is a little neighbourhood gem.

Parks & Nature

This is such a pretty park filled with gracious old trees and dense vegetation. It started off as a vegetable garden during the times of the VOC and there are still some original-style veggie beds. It's got pretty walkways, places to picnic and a super cafe/restaurant. The gardens run alongside Parliament, the Centre for the Book, the National Library, the Planetarium and the National Gallery so plenty to see. The views up to Table Mountain are beautiful too.
