Parks & Nature
The google map does not reflect the correct location of Billings Park. It is about 3 blocks from our BnB. It has two levels of paved walking that overlooks the St. Louis Bay that leads in to Lake Superior so you can also see the Bong Bridge. There is a children's playground, picnic tables & grills for a BBQ. There are two covered picnic area's to rent for bigger gatherings.

This paved walking path goes through the Superior Forest. It also has groomed cross country ski trails in the winter. It is about 3 blocks from our BnB. We let guests use our bicycles too as it is a perfect for that also.

The states largest waterfall is here about 20 minutes from our BnB. It has hiking trails, picnic tables, grills to BBQ, & a swimming beach.

Gooseberry is great to hike because during the ice age, amazing rock formations were made as well as smaller waterfalls here. Probably only 40 minutes from our place & well worth the visit. The last time I was there is was free.

Fairlawn is about 10 minutes from our place. It has a variety of excellent displays & we particularly like the one on Native Americans from the area.

Glensheen is interesting because there was a murder there once upon a time. We like it particularly because they give nighttime flashlight tours.

The Anchor is a bar/restaurant that makes the best burgers at a very reasonable price using ground beef from Superior Meats. It is an old sailer hangout so it is not fancy.
