This place has set the standard for breakfast in West Asheville. Be prepared for long lines and more people from Atlanta than Asheville lining up to "put some south in their mouth"! Despite the wait...the food is awesome. The sausage gravy is a must!

The Hop is a local, homemade ice cream joint that absolutely rocks! All of their ice cream is made right here in West Asheville. The Hop has super bizarre flavors as well as standard stuff. If you are throwing a birthday party i recommend per-ordering one of their ice cream cakes a few days in advance.

If you have a tattoo make sure to visit on Tuesdays where showing your body art gets you 10% off. This is a quick walk from the apartment but you have to cross a busy four lane road.

This is the closest brewery to our place. The beer and food our decent. The bonus is you can walk back to the apartment from here.

Great spot for a late night burger and beer or a daytime Bloody Mary on the patio. housed in an old garage (seriously, I used to get my oil changed here!) this bar has become a mainstay of the West Asheville bar scene.

This is an awesome little Greenway that is a quick walk from the apartment. DO NOT GO TO WHERE THE MAP INDICATES! Follow the trail to the other end and you will see the access point that is much closer to us. This is a locals only spot and is much less crowded than Carrier Park The French Broad River Park.

The Adventure Center of Asheville is a one stop adventure destination. Kids as young as 4 can try out ziplining on KidZip or climb around on Treetops Adventure Park. There is a mountain bike park, bike rentals, a zipline tour for adults. This place is only a 5 minute drive from the apartment and is a great place to spend a half or full day. Something to note: the activities often sell out. You can make a reservation by calling 877-247-5539.

Asheville first Crossfit box. We love this place!! The facility is sweet and the staff and coaches are the best. Open at 5:30 AM weekday mornings, 7:00 AM-Noon Saturday, 9:00 AM-11:00 AM on Sunday.
