The gardens in summer are amazing. *Some Saturdays the Wash Park Weenies meet up and walk their tiny dachshunds around duck lake. Sometimes there are 40+ tiny doggies!

Built in 1896 the zoo is a beautiful place to spend a lazy day in Denver. Be sure to see the elephants and the animals that started it all, the bears!

This station is a 2 block walk from my place. This light rail station costs $2.50 each way and goes to Golden, Union Station, Metropolitan State College, Mile High Stadium, Coors Field, Elitch's, Aurora, and downtown. You can also catch the connection to Denver International Airport via Union Station. Buy your ticket for $9.00 one way at the Alameda station.

Amazingly special place. Gorgeous views. Rock concerts held here, yoga, easter sunrise service, can run the steps and hike near by. Remember the altitude and bring lots of water and rest when you need to.
