Child friendly walk up to a small hidden lake. Decent hill at the beginning but easy from there - our 5 and 8 year old managed it. You could take a buggy, but would have to navigate the style at the bottom.

A child friendly, easy walking track with a couple of cool "shaky" bridges and some beautiful scenery. Our kids loved skimming stones and making rock piles beside the blue pool. 1.5km. 30 mins one way. Makarora is a beautiful one hour drive from Wanaka (passing Lake Hawea and the top of Lake Wanaka)
