Groceries

Since the condo has a full kitchen, plan on saving a lot of time and money by eating in. Stop on your way to pick up the groceries you need for the week. We usually have the basics on hand - salt, pepper, sugar, foil a
Safeway will have everything you need, and if you have time we recommend stopping on your way in from the airport. Of course it may feel like the last thing you want to do after your flight. But if you are going to do a full grocery trip to stock the kitchen, this is probably your best bet. And as silly as this may sound, the one thing we pack with us from the mainland is bagels and English muffins. Our kids go through their fair share of them in a weeks time, and for some reason bread products on the island seem to be very, very expensive. About 8x what we pay.
