Food Scene
The lodge is an old style Alaskan dinner house. It is open Tuesdays thru Sundays 5 pm till 10 pm. Food service usually ends at 9 pm. There is a lounge area that is smoking and a dining area that is non-smoking. On a clear day in the summer the outside deck is open with a nice view. There is a local artist that performs on Saturdays that is very good. Jon is an excellent chef and puts out a high quality meal. You will be completely satisfied whether it's hamburgers, pizza or a steak or seafood dinner you're looking for.

The Pump House is a historical landmark to Fairbanks. It was originally used to pump water 75 miles east towards the town of Central during the gold mining era. There are many antiques and historical items that decorate the place. The steak and seafood there is very delicious and the plates are very full. Every meal we've had there has been quite excellent. It is a dinner house that is open between 5 pm and 10 pm. Reservations are required.

Chena Hot Springs Resort is a must-see. Especially in the winter time. There's nothing like taking a good hot soak when it's -40° F. There are many winter activities that you can book at the activity center on location. From dogsledding to snowmachine rental to scenic flights or a tour of the ice museum. You must have the proper rental car with the correct ice tires to drive out there in the winter. The summer time is just as fun. There are beautiful hiking trails to experience. The outdoor pool is open year round and there is a restaurant in the lodge.
