grootste verzetsstrijders uit onze vaderlandse geschiedenis: Erik Hazelhoff Roelfzema. Aan het
begin van de oorlog ontsnapt Erik naar Engeland van waaruit hij zendapparatuur naar Nederland
smokkelt en als piloot betrokken is bij bombardementen op Duitsland. Hij wordt adjudant van
Koningin Wilhelmina en ontvangt voor zijn verzetswerk al tijdens de oorlog de Militaire Willemsorde,
de hoogste Koninklijke onderscheiding.
