Also adjacent and interesting for walking around are the ancient 'Inns of Court' where barristers and lawyers have their chambers - quintisentially Dickensian although the buildings are pre-Victorian.

This C19th railway station was beautifully restored in 2007. It is a fine example of the great age of the railways. There are now plenty of shops and places to eat as well as the direct, high speed rail connections to continental Europe.
