One of the original finer restaurants in this part of the peninsula and still hard to beat. You can book and eat in the restaurant where the food is detailed and delicious, or opt for the outdoor pizza area. If you go in the daytime, wander through the vineyards afterwards and enjoy the sculptures dotted around the property.

An outstanding dining experience in a beautifully designed interior. This is the place to go if you're wanting to celebrate a special occasion. You will need to book many months ahead. We can't recommend Tedesca highly enough. It received the award for best Australian restaurant in 2021.

You can get ready-made lunch treats and good coffee here. Have it on the deck or take-away. Good snags for the BBQ from Sommerville Meats, giant slabs of Lindt chocolate (the milk hazelnut is my fave), local olive oils to take home, locally made lemon tarts for dessert, good cheese selection, etc, etc. I won't go on, but take my word for it.

It's where I do all my supermarket shopping. It has the basics, but it also has the best produce you'd find in a big city, including an amazing cheese counter to rival Simon Johnson's (because they source their cheese from there I guess), hard to find spices from the Vital Ingredient and good quality fruit and veg. I"m sure you will be impressed and agree with me that it's the best supermarket you've been to.
I love this little local gem. Support the local growers and providores. Torello Farm offers locally grown fruit and veg, as well as meat from quality local butchers. You can pick up dinner on the way through, plus eggs, plus preserves.

Not recommended after a lot of rain as it can be muddy, but a lovely spot for a morning walk.

It has distinctly granular sand and the whole of the south beach has a row of brightly coloured and varied old fashioned beach boxes - an iconic Australian and much photographed sight. There is a great fish and chip shop on Mt Martha beach so its the perfect spot to end a scorcher of a beach day with fish and chips in hand.

It has distinctly granular sand and the whole of the south beach has a row of brightly coloured and varied old fashioned beach boxes - an iconic Australian and much photographed sight. There is a great fish and chip shop on Mt Martha beach so its the perfect spot to end a scorcher of a beach day with fish and chips in hand.

I love the selection of homewares, baby wares, fashion and accessories sold in this shop. It's rare that I come away empty handed. Well worth a visit.

A little further to travel but if you love beach inspired homewares and furniture, you will love this shop. It has more of a Portsea vibe than a Red Hill vibe, as it's more beachy than country style. If you're on your way to or from that part of the peninsula though, it's worth dropping into on the way.
