TGT is a less local place, and perhaps a good place to meet and chat with other travellers, volunteers and expats. Generally has a football/rugby game on as well, if that's your thing.

Best chicken BBQ in Arusha. Amazing staff, amazing location. I love going after work on a Friday afternoon and just watching the world for a little bit with my plate of chicken.

This place is lovely for a good coffee, a quite lunch with some beautiful views and a coffee tour if you want to see how it is grown here in Tanzania. Run by a lovely welcoming family.

If you are travelling out of town, Meru Game Lodge is an interesting place to visit. It has yum food and a Shanga shop, as well as some interesting wildlife.

This is one of my fave coffee stops, mainly because they are open for traders hours so perfect for an early morning caffeine hit! They also have amazing sandwiches!

This is one of our favourite hikes through the Arumeru Region. You get to walk through villages, pines forests and local farming land before you end up at so lush waterfalls which are perfect for a picnic.
