This is a favorite and local hot spot. If you want to meet the locals and even those from afar, stop by the well known mom and pop diner. You can't miss it located on the State St Hill in W. Lafayette. Brown and Orange Building.
Inside you will close to the neighbors, enjoy the traditional breakfast anytime, or a sandwiched named after a Purdue football player.
During home Purdue football games, if you go at 6am, (here will be a line) but you will have a great time meeting the Breakfast Club. Kind of like the tailgaters that start early.
Make sure to buy some rootbeer to go.

This large town park is 2 blocks from the apartment. It has it all.
Zoo, large swimming area with various slides, pool areas, beach volleyball, concessions,,,, the park has various play grounds for every age, a pond for light fishing or strolling around, a train (fee) that can take you around the park, or just a great place to walk around. Many benches are placed throughout the park.
During the warmer months, you will find many events from music venues, Lafayette Aviators Baseball games, to vendors.
Great family park or a place to walk around.
