Parks & Nature

The most beautiful park in Seattle in my opinion. 534 acres of park on the shores of Puget Sound. visit Daybreak Star cultural Center for a special treat. can walk there from the locks. go across the foot bridge and let your phone guide you. A little tricky but should be able to figure it out if you have a smart phone on you. it will be a hike for sure. You can easily drive as well just drive across the Ballard Bridge and you're almost there. Old army barracks still there. Has some of the most gorgeous views of the sound and mountains. miles of walking and jogging trails. Go just go!

The Arboretum is a hidden gem on the shores of Lake Washington. Jointly managed by the University of Washington Botanic Gardens and the City of Seattle, its 230 acres are a dynamic assortment of plants, some found nowhere else in the Northwest. We invite you to take a walk through the Arboretum and discover this living collection of plants from around the world. The Graham Visitors Center contains an information desk and displays, and a gift shop managed by the Arboretum Foundation. The Japanese Garden, located at the south end of the Arboretum has an entrance fee and is managed by the City of Seattle. The UW Botanic Gardens is a unit within the School of Environmental & Forest Sciences.
