If you are down on the south side of the island you need to stop in here and get a Portuguese malasadas. They are like a very light donut, and lilikoi is my favorite.

This place is also know as two step and is a great place to go snorkeling. I like it even better than going with a tour company that takes people to the Captain Cook monument. I feel there are way more fish and not as many people here. Plus the tide pools are fun for the kids to play in.

This is a great beach for boogie boarding or body surfing. In the winter the shore break can be kind of dangerous and the rocks come out. But in the summer time it is all sand and nice waves.

We love taking people to this beach in order to get use to snorkeling and the ocean. They also have a nice display of what to look for in the ocean .

There is a nice trail you can walk on and see many new steam vents. You can also see how much the caldera has grown since the last eruption. There is a great times lap video in the visitors center that shows how things have changed since last year. FYI Its usually a lot cooler at Volcano than in Kona.

There is a nice trail to hike around to see this waterfall. I also like to stop in the little town that you drive through and see all the little shops.

There is limited parking down by this beach and it is very local. If you can find a place to park it is a great beach. There are bathrooms and warm showers! Lots of sand and I have swam with dolphins several times at this beach.

This is a beautiful drive through Wood Valley that leads to a cute little coffee Mill. Many people in the area share the land and grow there own coffee here. Then they all share the roasters and drying center. You can get a nice lesson on coffee with lots of samples.

If you are at all interested in Orchids this is the place for you to stop! They have the coolest orchid maze were you learn all about the history of orchids and how they grow. It cost a little bit but so worth it and you can see an orchid that is over 100 years old!!
