South Chickamauga Creek gently flows through this property; some trails follow its bank. There's even a tiny pebble & sand beach where you can step out into the clear, refreshing water. Kayak & canoe launches/take out on and near AA. Trails are family friendly (mostly flat) but bug repellant is recommended! :) AA host staff are very friendly and helpful. AA maps available at the Fox Den Retreat as well as at the AA office. About 25-30 minute drive from the house.

One of four bridges crossing the Tennessee River downtown Chattanooga to the North Shore neighborhood. Built in the 1800's, it was closed in 1978 and reopened as a pedestrian bridge in 1993.
A public memorial near the bridge is underway in tribute to Ed Johnson (lynched on this bridge in 1906) and the lawyers who appealed on his behalf, Noah Parden and Styles Hutchins.
