There are plenty of outdoor activities very close to the cabin. We provide guidebooks, maps, and recommendations at the cabin.
Feel free to use our canoe to explore Tarryall Reservoir. There are paddles and life jackets in shed locker. There is also a 1 person canoe loader in the shed that works if you have a hitch and racks on your vehicle.

Nice hike just south of Tarryall reservoir. Leads into Lost Creek Wilderness Area.

Scenic mountain lake about an hour north of cabin.
A very doable 14er outside of Fairplay. If you want to come to Colorado and say you climbed a 14er, this is the one to try. Easy road to the trailhead, and nice trail to the top.
