So fancy and gorgeous. We wouldn’t likely bring the kids. Amazing for a special occasion - the view is incredible! It’s in Rosemary, so it’s a bit of a drive. 30 mins maybe.

We like Great Southern (though it is in tourist central, the food is very good) and for the view, The Shrimp Shack - it’s a walk up and you can sit on the beach front deck. The beach here is private and last check, chairs were $35 per person and you have to rent one to enter the beach area. I’d do some shopping and eating and head back to Blue Mountain for beach.

This place is so very pretty. Go to The Hidden Lantern bookshop and there’s a new pizza place that has lots of charm. Always beautiful, especially cool during the winter holidays.

Beach info
Be aware of the flag system! Sometimes the beach looks clear and perfect but there are riptides that only someone skilled can see. If there’s a red flag, we say “knee deep is too deep”. Text “flag” to 31279 for updates on beach conditions.

High season visit? Get a golf cart.
You can use them all along 30a. Check reefbch.com - it’s nearest our house, but there are lots of good golf cart places along 30a. I think it’s easier to park a cart than a car in summer. Less needed in the off season, but still fun. Our house is about a mile walk to the beach.

Beach etiquette
Locals know not to use white flashlights on the beach bc they interfere with sea turtle nesting. You can get a free red light at the visitors center on 98. If you dig holes, please fill them in - this protects nesting turtles and also helps folks who are taking beach walks at night - no fun to fall in a hole!
