Two major supermarkets located in Gourdon, as well as Lidl. Go into the centre ville and experience a coffee and cake at 'Fabrice' on the mini roundabout and take a walk through the town for bars, cafes and restaurants. The bastide is worth the hike up the hill for a look. Reportedly the death blow which killed Richard the Lionheart took place here........

Food Scene
Le Saint Martial is a personal favourite. Just a ten minute drive, the food is amazing, great quality, using local produce with a modern twist. The husband and wife team who run it are friendly and the service is excellent.

Sightseeing
This medieval town is perched on a cliff face and deserves a visit. Approach by the steps, or by escalator or take the little tourist train. The little bars, cafes and restaurants all have amazing views and the quaint little streets are full of souvenir shops and local produce - goats cheese being one of them. Its a great day out as its close to lots of other local attractions which are suitable for children. For example the 'Monkey Forest' .

These Beautiful gardens are a delight to walk through with the added bonus of activities for children. It is candlelit every Thursday night in July and August, with additional entertainment and live music, it is quite magical. There is a designated picnic area.
