This ski-resort is just a short 25min drive up the hill where I learned how to ski/snowboard. Plenty of beginner runs as well as black diamonds. The lodge is great for those who wanna sight-see with a coffee bar and plenty of food options. They have a great Ski school, private lessons as well as rentals and a sports shop!

Enjoy the drive
Most places are about a 15minute drive so just plan to enjoy the beauty of the trees as you drive to and from restaurants, etc. There are a few Uber drivers in the area, but I’ve never used one. The casino provides a shuttle if you park there and you’re planning to see a live performance at Their Pavillion in Tuolumne City.

Twain Harte’s is on Thursday nights from 4pm until dusk. Includes live music and great food from local vendors. Or visit Sonora’s every Saturday morning on the corner of Theall and S Stewart street.
