Leland Snowplay, has been offering Family Fun Since 1991! Many people who once used to come up as children, either with their families or with a youth group, are now bringing up their own kids, and keeping the snowplay family tradition going! But much has changed over the years! No more hiking up the snow covered hills. Our lifts whisk you to the top , to either the Big Hills, or our newly installed Magic Carpet to the smaller Kiddie Hills. Also, gone are the black inner-tubes used by Mom and Dad years ago. The tubes of today are specifically designed for snowparks, that are comfortable and help to keep your “backside” dry.

Lyons Lake Loop is an easy 5.5 mile hike that follows the entire perimeter of Lyons Reservoir. Since most of the hike is fire road, it is easily accessible by hikers, mountain bikers and horseback riders. The grade is very gradual with a total elevation change of less than 300 feet so this hike is suitable for varying ages and skill levels. The most difficult part of Lyons Lake Loop is the South Fork Stanislaus River crossing at the northeast end of the lake. The water level is only a couple of feet deep at full capacity but can be swift so cross with caution when the water is high. In addition to the river crossing there are also a couple of seasonal creek crossings which can easily be traversed without getting your feet wet.

The Long Barn Ice Skating Rink is available for a variety of group sessions. Birthday parties, school or church outings, or after hours skate parties are all possible.
