Using the subway is the most conveniet way to travel in Sofia.
The metro station is just outside the apartment next to the market. A pack of 10 travels costs 6 euro and can be bought from the Information desk on the station.

Spark service and/or taxi
We don't have Uber but we have Spark (spark.bg) a vehicle renting service. It could be used as alternative to taxi. It needs initial verification with driving license that takes a few days. If you need a taxi a good company is https://www.yellow333.com/. It has nice app to use for reservation.

Vitosha mountain walk
A walk on the mountain is a must. A good starting point is to go to Aleko lift station or Bistritsa village.

Best time for parties is the weekend
If you want to go out for a drink and you are looking for a party best time is Friday or Saturday night. Make a reservation in advance as most clubs get too crowded.

Weekdays there are plenty of options in the city center. Many restaurants offer lunch menus that are cheaper than the regular. A good menu at top restaurant costs 5-10 Euro.

Students city - is this an option?
Students City is a neighborhood where most of the students from Sofia universities live. There are a lot of bars and discos and nightlife. But going there you should be careful. Young drunk companies could be dangerous.
