The courses then had to be adapted to nature without intervention. At LinksGolf Öland, we have 200 years later made a replica and given the course all the Links attributes that should be available; hard fairways, undulating greens, peat bunkers, double greens and constant sea contact. A new course every day is the result depending on the wind conditions, which constantly change here at Lands End on the southern Öland cape. As a player, this means that at each stroke you have to choose between 5-6 different clubs instead of one - it is a challenge. The long game can easily go unchecked and one quickly realizes the importance of the golden Links rule; "The more wind the calmer swing"!
