The Albany, a pub on Donald Street. 200m. Turn right out of front door, 1st right Traditional Welsh pub with bar and lounge, serving the famous Brains beer, and particularly Brains Dark, our favourite The Albany Gallery – small art gallery which has frequent exhibitions of art . Turn Left, then turn right - It’s on the other side of Albany Road near the lights on your left. Ring doorbell to enter Pooja - for Indian delicacies, & take away Vegetarian curries and great samosas. On the right side of Albany road, near the lights on this side of road. Turn right out of house, turn left, then walk along right up Albany Road Parsons - bakery. For the best Sourdough bread and Bread pudding. Cakes all reduced to 95p after 2pm. –It’s on Wellfield road towards Albany road end Penylan Pantry - Cheese shop and café, selling excellent British cheeses. It’s a bit further on Waterloo Road, but a nice walk through another park. Cafes & Restaurants- There is whatever you want on Albany Road, Wellfield Road, and City Road- so wander along and see what you fancy- some of our favourites are- Coffee 1 – Coffee shop, on Albany Road Cameo Club - Bar & restaurant, on Wellfield Road Ponnuswammi – South Indian BYO restaurant, very reasonable and friendly on City Road Albany Fish Bar- Best fish and chips, chips, or whatever else you fancy – on Albany Rd La vita- friendly Italian Restaurant, on Wellfield Rd Anatoni's - excellent Pizza restaurant in Globe Centre, Wellfield Rd Made in Roath -Art gallery and coffee shop, around the corner- in Lochaber St Himalayan - Indian restaurant, that has been there forever - Wellfield Road Enjoy your stay
