Good locally brewed beers, lots of young Yellowknifers pack the place out, good gastro-pub food. If you're visiting in the summer, enjoy their deck. A boardwalk stroll along Great Slave Lake is 3 minutes walk away.

This is owned and operated by one of yellowknife's very early settling families. Say hi to Leslie!
aaaaannnnd the food is prepped by the same woman who cooked for Duke & Duchess of Cambridge (ie. Prince William and Kate). when they were on their honeymoon here. Yes, really. Life is full of little brushes with celebrity here.
This is where we locals go for coffee. The owner is indigenous, it's got an authentic northern vibe, and the coffee (JJ Bean) is just.so.good. The food items feature local fare - eg fish tacos, the fish fresh-caught from the Great Slave Lake. The fresh-baked cinnamon buns are divine
