The waterfalls are a great place to go on a day trip and is very popular among locals, especially during public holidays. It takes approximately 20 - 30 minutes to get to the waterfall. You can book a tuk tuk or rent a motorbike for the day.

Kbal Chhay Waterfall

One of three islands that is easily accessible by ferry from Otres Beach.
Koh Rong Samloen is known for its beautiful beaches and sunsets. A great place to visit if you want a quiet place to relax for a few days.
You can go on short jungle walks, enjoy the sunset on Mpay Bey or do some snorkeling.
Day visits are possible, but it is recommended to stay at least 1 night.
Koh Rong is Koh Rong Samloen's bigger sister island. A great place for snorkelling and deep sea diving and treks in the jungle.
The island has both quiet beaches for those who want some peace & quiet, as well as some more animated beaches such as Police Beach for those who want to party.
It is possible to arrange day visits, but it is recommended to stay at least 1 night.

Koh Rong is Koh Rong Samloen's bigger sister island. A great place for snorkelling and deep sea diving and treks in the jungle.
The island has both quiet beaches for those who want some peace & quiet, as well as some more animated beaches such as Police Beach for those who want to party.
It is possible to arrange day visits, but it is recommended to stay at least 1 night.
Koh Ta Kiev has stunning beaches and jungle and is a great place to get away from it all.
It is possible to visit Koh Ta Kiev for the day (along with Bamboo Islands) by booking one of the 3 Island boat tours. If you want a bit of excitement, choose a boat trip that stops at Elephant Rock for some cliff jumping before heading to the island for some lunch.
It is also highly recommended to stay 1 or 2 nights on Koh Ta Kiev to get the full experience.
If you plan to stay overnight, the guesthouses have regular pick ups from Otres Beach.

Otres 2: This is the most southern end of Otres Beach and it will take about 20 minutes to get to the first business from Otres Village. Like Otres 1, there are a number of businesses where you can order food and drinks

There are a number of travel agencies at walking distance where you can easily book bus tickets, ferries to the islands, taxis or rent a motorbike. Most nearby guesthouse also offer this service.

Don't leave belongings unattended
Cambodia is generally a safe place, but petty theft does occur, especially if you leave your things unattended. So please put them away safely. If you are going to the beach on your own, don't take anything of value, or stop at one of the local businesses where you can ask to keep your valuables behind the bar.

Avoid walking along the beach at night
Otres is generally safe, but it is best not to walk along the beach at night. Because there is poor lighting, incidents are more common.
